ABOUT ROBIN

Robin Guenther is a leading expert and textbook co-author of Sustainable Healthcare Architecture. As Principal at the firm Perkins+Will, Robin has been the architect on many innovative healthcare buildings, designs that have often been published nationally and internationally. In addition to her practice, Robin works at the intersection of healthcare architecture and sustainability policy, participating in a wide range of advocacy initiatives. She is Senior Advisor to Health Care Without Harm, co-coordinated the Green Guide for Health Care, and has served on the LEED for Healthcare committee. Healthcare Design magazine named her the “#1 Most Influential Designer in Healthcare.”

Wendell Berry transformed my thinking about design and health at all scales. His essay "Solving for Pattern" should be required reading for systems designers in the 21st century.

Which superpower would you most like to have?
The power to adapt and restore living and nonliving physical things to health in a rapidly
changing climate. And omnilingualism— I want to communicate with all of nature. First communicate, then adapt!
